Making this iconic dessert recipe is as easy as pie!

- 1 (2 lb.) pie pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- â…› tsp. ground cloves
- 1 unbaked pie crust, 9â€ť diameter
Preheat oven to 400Â° Cut pumpkin in half and remove seeds. Place face down on rimmed cookie sheet. Bake for 1 hour.
After removing pumpkin from oven, remove flesh and place in blender. Blend until smooth, and strain off excess water into a paper towel.
Reset oven to 425Â°
Combine eggs, pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin pie spice, salt and cloves in a large bowl and mix until combined.
Fit pie crust into a 9â€ť pie dish; pour pumpkin mixture into the crust.
Place pie on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350Â°F and bake until filling is set, about 35-40 minutes.
